The representation of San Gennaro:

San Gennaro is commonly represented in Christian iconography with some distinctive characteristics:

Bishop: San Gennaro is often depicted as a bishop, wearing episcopal liturgical robes, including the miter (the pointed hat of bishops), the cope (a liturgical vestment), and the crosier (the pastoral staff).

Ampoule or relic of blood: In many representations, San Gennaro holds in his hand an ampoule or reliquary containing his blood. This symbolizes the miracle of San Gennaro's blood, one of the best-known aspects of his devotion.

Halo: As a saint venerated by the Catholic Church, San Gennaro is often depicted with an aurora, a bright circle around his head, representing his holiness and closeness to God.

Serene Expression: His expression in these depictions is usually serene and devout, reflecting his religious devotion and his position as a bishop of the Church.

The representations of San Gennaro may vary slightly depending on the artist and the historical period, but these are the main iconographic elements that characterize him. These images are often used in churches, religious icons and works of sacred art dedicated to San Gennaro to inspire devotion and prayer among the faithful.
